Kids Say The Darnedest Things

I have worked in Early Child Hood Education my entire adult life and if there is one thing I have learned, it's that children have no filter. They will tell you exactly what they think whether it is polite or not. Children are easily the funniest people I know. I have had humorous conversations with kids at conventions, charity events and performing at parties as a princess. Here are my top 5 darnedest things kids have said to me.

*Attending a local convention as Cinderella, a little girl asked to take a photo with me outside the Con doors. After taking our photo together, the little girl turns to me and says:

"Be careful in there, Cinderella. Darth Vader is in there!"

*I was volunteering at a charity event as Wonder Woman when a little girl called over to me. She was standing a few feet away with her mother and shouts:

"Wonder Woman! I have you on my underwear!"

She proceeds to pull her pants down in front of everyone to show me her underwear. Her mother was laughing with a combination of both embarrassment and humor and quickly pulled her pants up.

*After arriving at a birthday booking, I am asked by a small boy a question I hear quite often:

"Moana! Are you real?"

"Of course I am real," I replied. "Are you real?" I playfully asked back.

"No." The boy replied.

"No?" I asked. "You aren't real?"

I patiently wait for him to think about it and try not to giggle.

"Yes," he finally decided. "Yes, I am real."

And he ran away.

*I was volunteering at a charity event as Supergirl when a preteen boy walked over to me. He stood next to me and crossed his arms:

"Soooo......." he begins. "Where's your cousin?"

*A little girl sits to have her makeup done by Queen Elsa at a birthday booking:

"Elsa," she begins. "Why did you yell at your sister?"

"I'm sorry, sweetie. What do you mean?"

"Anna went all the way to your ice castle to find you and you yelled at her and told her to go away. Why did you do that? That wasn't nice."
